The UYE, founded in 1985, is an organization for young people and young professionals united by their love of music, a fascination for their heritage, and dedication to their community. Their goal is promoting the arts for future generations and to use one’s talents in service for others. Music is a language, a great expression of the human spirit, that transcends international boundaries and unites all generations and nationalities.
Ukrainian Youth Ensembles Corp (YMA)
YMA was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 1985 under the musical direction of the late Maestro Vasyl Kardash. YMA’s music performances and presentations promote aesthetic education and diversity by uniting youth, adults, choristers, musicians, young soloists and Canadian composers. They introduce a unique element of Ukrainian culture into the multi-cultural mosaic of Canada.
