Josyf Cardinal Slipyj Catholic School

Josyf Cardinal Slipyj Catholic School is an elementary school that mainly emphasizes the study and practice of Ukrainian culture. Students become acquainted with the traditions practiced in Ukrainian holidays such as Easter, Christmas and The Feast Days of St. Nicholas. Likewise, students learn of Ukraine’s rich history, where students study the works of Shevchenko and the atrocities of Holodomor. The school further emphasizes the traditional Ukrainian arts, such as music and dance. There are even Bandura classes and an academy dedicated to Ukrainian dance.
